Beighton Falcons Summer Tournament 2009

Beighton Falcons held its first ever Football Tournament on the 27th and 28th June and was blessed with dry and very warm weather which meant a rush on cold drinks and ice cream and some very red sunburnt legs and faces by the end of it.

The football tournament was held at our home grounds at Rainbow Forge School at Hackenthorpe and was a great success and it seems it was very much appreciated by all those attending going by the number of thank you messages from opposing teams, our players and parents and local residents we have received.

The club would like to send a very big thank you to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly all weekend from as early as 7am to nearly 9pm both nights in order to make the event a success and to Paul Allinson from the school who was there to open up and lock up both days as well as being on call in case of any prolems or emergencies.
